The emergence of the LTE services market in Europe

This EITO special report gives an overview of LTE status and launches in Europe with a view on other key developments worldwide. It includes LTE subscriber data and forecasts (2010-2016) in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and the rest of Western Europe. In addition it contains information on major LTE launches worldwide. 3GPP Long Term Evolution, usually referred to as LTE, is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals.

The report was produced by IDATE in cooperation with the EITO Task Force. It has been first published in January 2012. This updated edition includes new Western European LTE subscriber forecasts on the basis of information available as of June 2012
